Vision

To create The Place where thousands will encounter a life-changing experience with God and pursue an everlasting relationship with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.

Praise and Worship Leader

Altina Dozier is the Praise and Worship leader. Her broad vision of different avenues to create a place of worship covers music, Praise Team, choir, drama, concerts and all forms of dance (hip-hop, mime, etc.).

B. Dozier

Lead Pastor

Pastor B. Dozier serves as the lead pastor of The Place. His burden to reach the un-churched and recapture the unplugged continues to be his motivation for ministry. A native of Florida, his peculiar style of teaching continues to create The Place for all to have an encounter with God and experience God’s love in leaps and bounds.

Belief

God is the creator and the controller of all. He eternally exists in three persons: the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Those three are co-equal with God and are one God. (Genesis 28:19; 1 Peter 1:2; ll Corinthians 13:14)

Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is co-equal with the Father. He was born of a virgin and lived a perfect, sinless human life. He offered Himself as the perfect sacrifice for the sins of all people by dying on a cross. He arose from the dead after three days, ascended into heaven, and will return again someday to reign as King of Kings and Lord of Lords. (Matthew 1:22-23; Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1-5; 14:10-30; Hebrew 4:14-15; 1 Corinthians 15:3-4, Acts 1:9-11; 1 Timothy 6:14-15; Titus 2:13)

The Holy Spirit is co-equal with the Father and Son. The Holy Spirit is our divine teacher; he guides us into choosing his spiritual truths. Because of the Holy Spirit, we possess the power to become an effective witness and obtain the ability to overcome the temptation of self. All wisdom, knowledge and understanding come through the Holy Spirit. (ll Corinthians 3:17; John 16:7-13; 14:16-17; Acts
1:8; 1 Corinthians 2:12, 3:16; Ephesians 1:13; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 5:18; Acts 2:4)

Salvation is God’s free gift to us, but we must accept it. We can never make up for our sins by self-improvement or good works. Since Jesus Christ paid the price with his life for the remission of sin, we can now be saved today. Accepting Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior means that you are in agreement with his will during your journey in life. Eternal life begins the moment one receives Jesus Christ into his life by faith. (Romans 6:23; Ephesians 2:8-9; John 14:6, 1:12; Titus 3:5; Galatians 3:26; Romans 5:1)

Eternity – The soul of every human being was created to live forever. We will either exist eternally separated from God by sin, or eternally with God through salvation and forgiveness. Hell is eternal separation from God. Heaven is eternal union with God. Heaven and Hell are real places of eternal existence. (John 3:16; 2:25, 5:11-13; Romans 6:23; Revelation 10:15; Matthew 1:8; 2:44-46)

The Bible is God’s Word to us. It was written by human authors under the supernatural guidance of the Holy Spirit. It is the supreme source of truth for all Christian beliefs. The word of God produces faith and increases our knowledge and experience in God. Since the word is inspired by God, it is the truth without any mixture of error. (ll Timothy 1:13, 3:16; ll Peter 1:20-21; Psalm 119:105, 12:6; Proverbs 30:5).

Mission

John 13:34-35 says, “A new commandment I give unto you, that ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another. By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another.”

Encounter:

An encounter with God’s love is the foundation on which we stand and build upon, as we fulfill our mission. It also reveals you need more of him and opens you up to all of the possibilities through Christ.

Experience:

All are welcome to experience becoming a part of his eternal family. An actual experience with God’s love is the most difficult thing to describe because every experience with God is personal. One thing is for sure, this experience will cause a life-changing shift. You will clearly begin to understand the following:

You matter
You have purpose
You have an assignment
You are forgiven

Pursue:

We believe that you’re never too far to get on the right path with God. Whoever you are and wherever you are in life, you can be who God created you to be because of his unconditional love. The ability to pursue the purpose on your life comes from a direct experience of his love. Because of this belief, we call this ministry The Place. It’s The Place where the “church” which is “you” pursues an everlasting relationship with God in spirit and in truth. It’s The Place for spiritual growth and development through Jesus Christ.
